The appointment of Mr. Benda builds on the current coverage of Business Development Companies (BDCs), which is led by Andrew Kerai, who joined in August 2013. Mr. Benda joins National Securities from Susquehanna International Group, where he worked in equity research and covered homebuilders, mortgage insurers and single-family rental REITs since 2010. Previously, he worked in equity research at Prudential Equity Group. Prior to his career in equity research Mr. Benda worked in corporate finance at K. Hovnanian Enterprises and before that at TD Bank Financial Group in commercial lending. He received a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from George Washington University and is a level III CFA candidate.
